Registration for GATE 2025 is open through October 03, 2024. IIT Roorkee has added several new FAQs. The conducting
authority responsible for releasing the GATE 2025 announcement is IITR
(Roorkee). The application form correction period ends on November 6, 2024. The
Information Brochure is now available formally.

Who will lead the GATE 2025 initiative? Roorkee Institute of Technology, Verify Participating Institutions for GATE
IISC Bengaluru and the seven IITs (IIT
Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT
Roorkee) alternately administer the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in
Engineering). A number of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) recognize GATE exam
results in their hiring procedures.

Application Form for GATE 2025
See below for all the information you need to know
about the GATE 2025 Application Form:
Candidates may begin completing the GATE Exam 2025 registration form on August
28, 2024.
Online applications are the only ones that are accepted. There is no option to
submit it offline.
Following a successful registration, each candidate will receive a unique
enrollment ID.
One must fill the application form with details i.e. personal, address,
communicational, exam centre options, paper choice, qualifications, etc.
In the GATE application form 2025, documents such as a photo, signature, photo
identity, and caste certificates must be uploaded.
Applicants may submit one or more
combinations of papers. Nevertheless, the authorities will only receive one
application form.
The application for GATE 2025 must be completed by October 03, 2024, without
incurring a late charge.
The zonal GATE offices do not accept printouts of completed application forms
or uploaded certificates or papers, as instructed by the candidates.
In October 2024, the candidates will also be given a repair facility by the
authority in case they made any detailed mistakes.
Take a printout of the completed application and store it securely for future
use.

Steps for GATE 2025 Application
Step 1: Go to the website (the link is provided above).
Step 2: Select "Register Here" on the homepage.
Step 3: Provide requested information and a working email address or mobile
number.
Step 4: Complete all the information requested on the application.
Step 5: Upload the necessary files in the format and size specified.
Step 6: Use an electronic payment method to pay the application cost.
Step 7: Log in to the application form to check its status.
Step 8: Print the registration page and store it securely for future use.
Correction for GATE 2025 Application
The online GATE 2025 Application Correction Window will open in the third week of November 2024. Applicants will have the ability to edit or change specific information on the application. Applicants must update information using their login credentials, such as their date of birth or application number.Candidates may be permitted to make corrections to a few details, such as name, parent information, qualifying scores or degree, date of birth, residence, etc. Candidates must pay an application fee in order to make corrections on the GATE form.
GATE 2025 Qualification Standards
The GATE eligibility requirements are listed in this section, which applicants must review before completing the application:Qualifications: Applicants may apply if they are in their third year of an undergraduate program or if they have earned a degree in engineering, technology, or science that has been approved by the government.
Age Requirement: There are no age restrictions for applying to the GATE Exam in 2025.
GATE 2025 Exam Pattern
Here candidates must

- Exam Mode: GATE
Exam 2025 will be conducted in online mode (CBT).
- Time: Total 3
hours will be provided to the candidates to solve the paper.
- Sections: Question
paper will include General Aptitude (GA) & Candidate’s Selected
Subjects.
- Number of Papers: GATE
will have a total of 30 test papers.
- Question Type: Multiple
Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs)
& Numerical Answer Type (NAT) will be asked in the exam.
- Total Questions: There
will be a total of 65 questions in the question paper (10
general aptitude + 55 subjects).
- Marking Scheme: 1 or 2
marks will be provided for correct answers.
- Negative Marking: For 1 mark of MCQ 1/3 mark will be
deducted & for 2 marks of MCQ 2/3 marks will be
deducted. There will be no negative marking in MSQ & NAT questions.
- Partial Marking: There
will be no partial marking for any of the questions.

GATE 2025 Exam Syllabus (PDFs) is officially out now. Released by IIT Roorkee, GATE
Syllabus 2025 can be obtained subject wise online on
the website. The Syllabus includes important topics from the respective
subjects & general aptitude. GATE Syllabus should be foremost checked by

Question: How many times one can appear the

Answer: There is no attempt limit, one can
appear in any number of time for GATE exam.
Question: Are there any changes in GATE
Exam Syllabus for 2025?
Answer: As of now, no changes have been
announced yet in GATE Syllabus 2025. DA (Data Science & Artificial
Intelligence) paper was added last year.
Question: Is GATE Exam tough to qualify?
Which branch is considered as toughest one and has high competition ?
Answer: Yes, GATE is considered as one of
the toughest Engineering exam for admission in PG courses. Of all branches,
Electrical Engineering & CSE are the toughest one. Mechanical branch in
M.Tech has high competition because of more number of candidates.
Question: Can I fill two application forms
to appear for in two papers?
Answer: No, only single application form
will be accepted. Two paper options will be selected based on the given set of
combination.
Question: Will I need to upload OBC-NCL
certificate while filling the application form?
Answer: No, there will be no need to upload
OBC-NCL or EWS certificate. However, SC/ ST/ PWD candidates will be required to
upload their certificates to avail the concession in fee.
Question: Can I change the examination
paper after submitting the registration form?
Answer: Yes No you can change in
examination paper after applying.
Question: How can I check my status of
submitted application form?
Answer: You will be able to check status of
your application form by logging to the website.
Question: I am currently appearing in 3rd
year of commerce, am i eligible to apply?
Answer: Yes, candidates who are appearing
their 3rd year in engineering/ commerce/ science/ technology/ arts/ architecture
will be eligible to apply for GATE 2025.
Question: Will my application fee be
refunded if i withdraw my application form?
Answer: No, application fee will be
non-refundable and non-transferable in any circumstance.
GATE 2025 Admit Card
Admit card of GATE 2025 will be made
available to the candidates on 2nd January 2025. It will be released online on
the website. No printed copy of GATE admit card 2025 will be sent to the
aspirants. Candidates must download their admit card as soon as possible before
the conduct of examination.
Check all the details carefully printed on
hall ticket and if in case of any discrepancy in details contact the authority
immediately. Candidates will need to appear for examination on the date and
time as mentioned on GATE admit card. On the day of examination, candidates
will need to bring identity proof & admit card together.
GATE 2025 Answer Key
GATE 2025 Answer
Key will be available through online mode in PDF format. It
will be downloaded by the aspirants from fourth week of February 2025. Candidates
will be able to submit contests against the provisional answer key during the
specific time. To raise objections against the GATE answer key, candidates will
need to pay a requisite fee.
GATE Answer key (final) will be released once the
evaluation will be finalised. Based on the final answer key, result will be
declared. Final answer key will be released in first week of March
2025. With the help of answer key, candidates will be able to know
their estimate scores.
